University of Bath Innovation Centre, Carpenter House, Broad Quay, Bath, BA1 1UD
SETsquared is the world leading enterprise partnership between five research intensive Universities (Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey). Since 2002 over 6500 companies have participated in SETsquared programmes, £1.8bn investment has been raised and 10,900 jobs created, and £8.6bn contributed to the wider economy.
The SETsquared offer extends from student enterprise, research commercialisation, entrepreneurship programmes, business acceleration and investment programmes. The Scale Up Programme was launched last year (with Cardiff University added to the original five) aimed at scaling companies with growing headcount, revenues and developed technologies.
What we offer
Over 170 innovators have completed the four-day Health Innovation Programme delivered in partnership with the AHSNs (West of England, Wessex, South West and Kent, Surrey & Sussex). In the West of England these normally happened twice a year. A number of these innovators have gone on to secure additional funding (SBRI Healthcare, Innovate UK) and develop their business, and we are very proud that some of these innovators are now NHS Innovation Accelerator Fellows and on the Innovation Technology Tariff/Payment schemes.
The Scale Up Programme extends the offer to later stage innovators and includes collaborative R&D opportunities, access to talent (students, academics and facilities), investment programmes and business mentoring and support. SETsquared also run business acceleration schemes offering fully funded business support including the Digital Innovation Business Acceleration Hub and Social Enterprise & Innovation Programmes (part funded by the ERDF).
