Piloting innovations in real-world settings: Future Challenges evaluation reports published
Posted on 28th April

The West of England AHSN’s Future Challenges programme has been a ground breaking way to support innovators and local partners to pilot innovations and validate them in a real-world setting.
Working with our network members and key stakeholders, including clinicians and commissioners, we identified and launched challenges in two themes areas (keeping healthy at home and young people and mental health resilience) and have completed five pilots.
Over the last few months we have been sharing the results of these pilots and the final two evaluation reports have now been published. These are on SmartGym Gloucestershire, using CardioWalls in a secondary school to improve students’ mental health resilience by combining physical and cognitive activities, and Moving to Better Health, helping people living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) to improve self-management of their condition.
