About the Innovation Exchange

What is the Innovation Exchange?

The West of England Innovation Exchange is designed to help innovators understand what the NHS challenges are and connect innovators to the help they need. Developed by the West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN), with funding from the Office for Life Sciences, it is part of network of similar services provided by AHSNs across the country. A national website has been launched, providing links to these.

This website is part of a wide range of support offered by West of England AHSN  for anyone developing innovations for the healthcare sector. It provides access to all of our business services in one place, helping to connect the local innovation ecosystem and provide the support you need at any stage of your innovation.

Through this Innovation Exchange web portal you can access:

  • a directory of business services and facilities (coming soon!)
  • local and national opportunities for funding
  • hyvr – our social media platform for healthcare
  • business development programmes and a range of business services (coming soon!)
  • online tool kits and resources
  • information on our strategic partners and services they provide to help you.

As a business you can register on our directory (coming soon!) for free, so potential collaborators can easily find you and each other.  We’d also recommend you register on hyvr to have a business presence there too. Once you have registered on the Innovation Exchange you will be able to join hyvr using the information already provided which will enable access to both platforms through the same login details.

If you’d like access to the latest national funding opportunities as well as case studies sharing innovator success stories and links to key players in the health innovation sector then visit the AHSN Network’s national Innovation Exchange digital gateway. Businesses can find all of the AHSN Network’s top advisors in this new national directory that builds on the development of a number of regional online resources such as our own West of England Innovation Exchange.
